Defensive Pistol

The Defensive Pistol course covers advance shooting skills such as- Drawing from the holster, advance shooting on the move while taking cover, multiple target engagement, shooting moving targets, strong hand and weak hand shooting, reloading from the belt and many other techniques to protect yourself. Price 80.00

Concealed Carry

This course is a 15 hour class as required by New Mexico Law. Class will span 2 days. Application fees and training courses are not required for Military personnel or Military persons , however a firearms training course will have to be taken for those who have been discharged from Miitary service more than 20 years of the application for their initial license or renewal.

Please note additional fees for fingerprints and application for your CCW license through DPS will apply.

NRA Training

NRA Basic Pistol Course The Basic Pistol Course of the NRA is approximately 16 hours. In this course students will get the NRA'S

"The Basics OF Pistol Shooting Handbook", and intensive lesson in safety, firearms handeling of various types of pistols, the fundementals of pistol markmanship, firing positions, several practical live firing exercises on the range.

Active Shooter

How to Respond course is provides guidance to individuals, including managers and employees, so that they can prepare to respond to an active shooter situation. Albuquerque Firarms Training -Active Shooter training describes actions to take when confronted with an active shooter and responding law enforcement officials. Students will be able to recognize potential workplace violence indicators and describe actions to take to prevent and prepare for potential active shooter incidents.

Participants will learn:
Specific actions to take when confronted with an active shooter scenario
Appropriate response to interact with first responders and law enforcement officials
How to identify workplace violence indicators

Online Training

Albuquerque Firearms Training has created an online comprehensive firearms safety and concealed carry class approved by NM DPS concealed carry unit that will provide you with the training necessary to apply for your NM concealed carry license at your own pace. As a family oriented company we understand getting a weekend away from your busy schedule and family obligations is not easy.

Our online course will take you through the required topics on:

  • knowledge of and safe handling of single- and double-action revolvers and semiautomatic handguns
  • safe storage of handguns and child safety
  • safe handgun shooting fundamentals
  • live shooting of a handgun on a firing range
  • identification of ways to develop and maintain handgun shooting skills
  • federal, state and local criminal and civil laws pertaining to the purchase, ownership, transportation, use and possession of handguns
  • techniques for avoiding a criminal attack and how to control a violent confrontation
  • hniques for nonviolent dispute resolution

New Mexico requires that concealed carry applicants complete an approved firearms training course that is no less than 15 hours long. The online course will give you the instruction and time to cover many of the topics and skills that you will need to legally and responsibly carry a concealed firearm. Albuquerque Firearms Training Concealed Carry classes are normally held over 2 Sundays, from 9:00 am to 4:30pm both days.

Once you complete the online portion we will arrange a live-fire range day with a minimum of 200 rounds for basic drills and defensive shooting and qualification of highest caliber you intend to carry of each category. We will start off with the basics of holding a firearm and stance, once we get everyone to a certain point you will be drawing from the holster, shooting on the move, reloading on the move, shooting behind cover and more.
